Join us on June 21 to celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day. It’s an opportunity to honour the rich cultures and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples. This day marks an opportunity to appreciate diverse cultures of Indigenous peoples.
CMHA North Bay and District encourages our staff and service users to participate in events hosted by local Indigenous organizations. Some examples of local events include:
- The North Bay Indigenous Friendship Centre is hosting an event for Indigenous Peoples Day on June 21 from 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. More information available HERE.
- The North Bay Museum and North Bay Indigenous Friendship Centre will host an Indigenous Artisans Market on June 22 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the North Bay Museum. More information available HERE.
There are a number of ways you can celebrate the culture and contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. Consider getting involved in local events, sharing images and using hashtag #NIPD2024.
