CMHA North Bay and District is partnering with CMHA Champlain East and CMHA Thunder Bay to launch a new mental health awareness training program specifically for farmers and the agriculture community in Northern Ontario.
In the Know is a mental health literacy program created specifically for the agricultural community. The workshops are facilitated by one of CMHA’s mental health professionals using real-life examples from agriculture. Participants will cover the topics of stress, depression, anxiety, substance use disorders and how to start a conversation around mental well-being.
The three CMHA branches are teaming up offer the program online, with training dates for the Northern Ontario community set for English sessions on March 7 and 9, and a French session on March 8.
